Dr. Dawn Mason is the Assistant Vice Chancellor in the Office of Partnerships at NC State University, where she leads the team responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with more than 130 corporate, government, and nonprofit organizations—over 70 of which are based on-site.
Prior to her role at NC State, Dawn had a successful industrial career at Eastman Chemical Co. and E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. She held various technical and managerial positions, including leading R&D teams focused on areas such as catalysis, polymer modification, technical service, and process improvement.
Dawn earned her B.S. from the University of Missouri – Columbia and her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University under the mentorship of Marcetta Darensbourg. She is a Fellow of the American Chemical Society and has served as an advisor to multiple institutions of higher learning.
